Spring 2025 Hospice Fundraiser

Will you help us bring comfort to those on their final journey?

They Shouldn't Have To Face Their Final Days Alone

Tonight, in a cold house along the rugged shores of the Pacific Northwest, someone is lying alone, unable to reach their phone to call for help.

A mother is choosing between spending her final days with her children or working to keep the bills paid.

Pets are still sitting on the porch waiting for their owners to come back.

These aren't just distant stories - these are real people and their loved ones in need of our help.

When The Power Company Found Paul, His Dogs Were All He Had Left...

Last week, a power company lineman changed Paul's life – and showed us why our mission matters more than ever.

Approaching a desolate house near the storm-battered coastline, the lineman noticed something wrong. Windows fogged with condensation, two dogs barking frantically inside. Stepping on the porch, he could see through the window, a figure curled up motionless on the couch.

What he found inside breaks my heart: Paul, an elderly man in his eighties, unable to move. His sheets were soiled, his wounds infected. His loyal dogs, Patsy and Lilly – now thin and desperate – hadn't eaten in over a week because Paul had been enduring severe pain from a type of cancer known to cause bone fractures, Multiple Myeloma, leaving him unable to get out of bed or reach for his phone.

With tears streaming down his face, Paul asked the lineman, "can you help my two dogs?

Paul's story echoes across our misty coastline, where countless others face their final journey in silence.

As storm clouds gather and winter tightens its grip on our Pacific Northwest communities, I witness stories like his every day: A veteran who served our country, now alone without family, must leave the comfort of his own home because he has become too frail to walk.

A family unable to provide for their child suffering from a rare form of malignant cancer, has to give away their animals to shelters because they are struggling to pay for food, medication, and travel expenses.

A single mother dying from breast cancer is hoping to make it through Christmas this year while trying to care for her four-year-old son who has leukemia.

These are the unseen people that live within our community.

Together, we can make a difference in their journey.

Hi, I'm Stella Rose, a hospice nurse and the founder of 12 Grief Solutions. Working along the untamed coastal shores of the Pacific Northwest, I step into the homes of small-town rural communities with people and their families facing the final stages of their life journey.

That's why I've created these Comfort Package Programs – carefully crafted bundles of support that bring immediate relief and dignity to those facing their final chapter. Each package transforms moments of desperation into experiences of grace, ensuring that no one in our community faces death alone or afraid.

Whether it's fresh sheets that soothe infected wounds, hot meals to nourish both body and soul, or loving care for the pets who have stood faithfully by their sides – every package delivers more than supplies. It delivers hope. It delivers dignity.

It delivers a message that says, "You matter. You are not alone. Your community cares."

Right now, as you read these words, someone like Paul is lying in soiled sheets, their beloved pet hungry beside them, wondering if help will ever come before it's too late. You can be the answer to their prayers. You can be the light that breaks through their darkness.

Winter is quickly approaching. Will you join me in my cause to bring comfort, supplies, and community resources to our local Hospice and End-of-Life families that will sustain their needs so that no one faces this sacred journey alone? With the increasing number of people coming to hospice care, we are in desperate need of hot meal delivery services, sheets, blankets, food, caregivers, funeral expenses, transitioning housing, pet food, and new homes for their beloved animals.
